Hi,
I'm using Joomla 2.5.1 on a dedicated server running PHP 5.2.17, Apache Server.

I get following error:
*XPDF Binaries File
*Unexecutable
*CHMOD 0755
*Permission XPDF Binaries File: 0644 - Please set it to 0755 for binaries XPDF in LIN

What should I change to 755? I can't find a folder caled LIN.

Ho iniziato ad utilizzare Article Book Effect 1.6.1 su Joomla 2.5.17 ed ho un problemino con la larghezza della book, infatti inserendo i tag, disattivando l'editor come ho letto in altri post del forum e come ormai da mia abitudine quando inserisco HTML negli articolo, ho provato ad inserire quanto segue:


ma con questi tag la larghezza del book rimane del tutto invariata ed eccede vistosamente rispetto alle immagini inserite.

Quindi ho provato con il seguente tag:



in questo secondo caso ottengo una copertina del book leggermente più stretta dell'immagine B.jpg (ne taglia una piccola porzione) ma come volto la prima pagina la larghezza si dimensiona by itself
Conclusione non riesco a condizionare la larghezza del book.
Altra curiosità in merito al plg. Esiste un limite conosciuto di pagine inseribili?

Here is my problem.
I can't manage to index automatically.
Nor full text nor intro field.

I always have to go to back-office and index manually.
and there the search works perfectly.

Is there a configuration I'm missing?

I'm working on Joomla 2.5.8
My Jifile is the last one, the 2.1
I'm on windows 7 32 bits.
Joomla is installed locally

When I click the indexes button a blank box appears and nothing happens.
Am using joomla 2.5.17 with isapp 2.1

Also very strange - there is no folder libraries/ifile but I dont gedt an error message in ifile control panel.

Hi there,

first a compliment: The app works really nice - if you use it as Admin of a site!

I would like, if other (registrated) guys are able to upload photos at my gallery (Phoca Gallery Vers. 3.2.2) at my website www.probsteierleben.de.

But I won't likte to give them a rule "Super Admin"!

It is possible to set a REGISTERED User be able to upload pics?

Maybe a hard coding at the source code...

Hi all, I have joomla 2.5 and I want to install jifile 2.1 and gives me the error attached.

Note
In case di errore "Libreria mancante iFile" pacchetto scaricare questo e seguire you installazione manuale di istruzioni seguenti:
Cancellare is present, il contenuto della cartella administrator / components / com_jifile / libraries /
Scompattare ifile.zip nella cartella administrator / components / com_jifile / libraries /

Then I download the ifile library and when I'll put it on the route indicated
administrator / components / com_jifile / libraries /
I realize I do not have that folder on my server, and then I create the folder and put the library there but still giving me error, please any help,

Dopo l'aggiornamento, he necessario, 755 permessi reimpostare i ai file:
"administrator / components / com_jifile / libraries / ifile / adapter / helpers / binaries / linux / pdftotext
administrator / components / com_jifile / libraries / ifile / adapter / helpers / binaries / linux / PDFInfo ".

As I will give permission to these files if you do not have it on the server? Please any help?

Thought I'd post back a quick change I made in the local version.

After removing a file from being indexed it seemed that it was always necessary to optimize. I modified the delete function to call the optimize function before ending to remove 1 extra click.

File is located under the model directory and is called lucene.php

Hi there,

first of all: we love jifile.

But: We do have a problem here which is to do with umlaut characters (ä, ö, ...) in Word / XLS documents.

Excel: The "body retrieved" contains the HTML representation (like ä) of the special characters - I don't know why.
Word: The "body retrieved" contains some strange squares instead of the special characters.

I tried setting the body field to "text", which gives me a "body stored" with ä etc. displayed correctly. But if I search for a word with a special character which is in the "body stored" I don't get any results in the frontend.

I am using JiFile 1.0.9 on Joomla 2.5.9 on a remote LAMP server.
My configuration and a test file is attached. I tried several configurations (like almost anything, playing around with the encoding settings etc., I also had the body field set to UnStored, UnIndexed and Text), and did a lot of research on the internet, but I found nothing relevant to my problem...

When I change filesystem path to /home6/astarmat/public_html/astarmathsandphysics in jifile options I get the error message
Could not save data. Error: The database row is empty.

How do I cler this error?

Hi, we´re usig JiFile and Phoca Download inside a joomla intranet solution. Because of different security reasons we use an absolute filepath which is outside the joomla root folder. The not so very surprising effect is, that JiFile has no filesystem folder, which has to be inside the joomla root. To fill the path field inside the JiFile options with an absolute path does not work (though JiFile finds the folder).

So my question is, what files I have to modificate to make it possible that JiFile is accepting an absolute path like

D:/downloads/

or

../../downloads/

Any help or hint is appreciated!

Hi,

After installing I've got one error: "Error recovery document: Empty body"
I have tried to do what is stated in the forums: I have the permission in 755, In my server the php safe mode is turn off, I have tried the set in the configuration (config icon) the server bits in 64bit and leave blank the field encoding.
I'm working on a host and the server configuration is:

PHP Built on: Linux node2 2.100.4-1-amd64-grsec # 1 SMP Tue Dec 28 21:57:50 CET 2010 x86_64
Database Version: 5.0.85
Database collation: utf8_general_ci
Vesion PHP: 2.5.42-servage26

I use the latest JPhoto and Joomla 3 (fresh install) with phoca gallery 4
All configuration are OK like You say

When I will upload a photo from my mobile device (Galaxy S4) I can not choose wich directory I will use for upload !
I have only on my sceen "Select a Category" and nothing else

What can I do for this great apps work ?

Hello,
First I'd like to say this is a brilliant contribution.
I would like some help with the following:

When I translate an article title, it goes like this: {lang en}english{/lang}{lang el}greek{/lang}, and it works great.
BUT, the URL of this article shows like this: www.mysite.com/index.php/el/lang-en-english-lang-lang-el-greek-lang

Is there any idea how to solve this?

Hello,

Can i create a variable link depending on the language like the menu items does?

I have Dutch and english.
Sometimes i only have englisch articles.

In those articles i have links to articles who could be dutch.

Now i make a link to <a href="/tools"> If my language is on english i want him to go to <a href="/en/tools" and if it is on dutch to <a href="/tools">

How can i manage this? or should i duplicate the English content for dutch and create different links? That would be create again arround the 500 links i think...

I seem to be having trouble with the indexing. I have a couple of PDFs I would like to have indexed on the site. Some of the other PDFs seem to be indexed OK .

The particular file I am interested in had a red dot when I went into the file system. When I tried to click on the save button I got a message of Error recovery document XPDF_not_executable.

I saw previous forum posts about modifying libraries/ifile/adapter/helpers/binaries/linux/pdftotext but there does not seem to be any ifile folder in the libraries folder.


When I look at the diagnostics I see
